Did you know?

Mozzarella is a generic term for several kinds of originally Italian cheeses that are made using spinning and then cutting (hence the name; the Italian verb mozzare means "to cut")

The first Stretched Curd Cheese, Mozzarella had its origins with nomadic tribes of the Middle East. This style of cheese gradually spread across Europe to the Mediterranean. Another legend has it that mozzarella was first made when cheese curds accidently fell into a pail of hot water in a cheese factory near Naples...

It is widely known that the best and most highly prized buffalo mozzarella is still found south of Naples near Battipaglia and Caserta where small factories continue centuries-old traditions making fresh buffalo mozzarella daily for their local customers.
